Training program conducted by DOEACC for IT enabled services

DOEACC society in collaboration with the North Eastern region department for development has initiated a course to be conducted on call center agent training in English language in order to enhance the capabilities, talents and skills of the youth generation within the region. Trained individuals will be deployed for jobs in the field of information technology and other technology facilitated services in the country and method of language used is expected to make them compatible and in line with the international working cadre who are proficient in English language. Training programs of ITES standing for information technology enabled services are currently being held in several DOEACC centers.

The course is structured with a well developed curriculum to train and develop students to operate in a professional capacity in the information technology facilitated services. There is an abundance of career opportunities that is now being made available in this sector and students are clamoring to take advantage of this training program which will enable them to acquire the professionalism required in the industry.

The course is designed to give the students a better understanding of information technology related services and encourage them to take up positions in the sector to pursue advanced career opportunities. Curriculum has been developed with the consultation of top professionals who are currently engaged in this sector and have taken into account the latest developments in the world wide specter. The training students will receive is focused on call center activities and enhancing their communication skills and talents with a view of augmenting their personality development and existing skills on customer and personal relationship and interaction together with a basic and foundation knowledge on computer operations.

On successful accomplishment of the course the student will be eligible to face the sector with confidence on the required skills and responsibilities and the knowledge of using a computer to execute functions in micro soft applications and the use of internet and its features. The course is designed with practical training and therefore students get the chance of perfecting their essential required skills for any type of work such as time and stress level management and marketing abilities. This is a full time course and students will be allowed to join employment only on the successful completion of the course.

The course involves both class room studies as well as practical involvement in technical subjects and dynamic interactive gathering to develop the other skills. Duration is over a period of eight weeks spreading to a total time limit of approximately 160 hours.  Training and class room studies will be mixed within a days training and therefore a student will be stimulated and not feel uninterested at any point of the course duration. The total 160 hours is a combination of 20 hours of time dedicated for learning of computer skills, another 90 hours dedicated for developing of English language and an another 50 hours focused on other skills such as communication, call center, web domain surfing and Personal relationships marketing and cooperate culture.

Eligibility criteria for the students enrolling for this DOEACC course is either graduate students or under graduate students who possess a good understanding of English Language. Having an energetic and dynamic personality together with an easy going and high IQ level and quick grasper of techniques will be much looked out for assets in the student.

Course fee is sponsored under the project within the north region of the country while in J&K region the course is being sponsored by DIT which is under the purview of reconstruction fund. However, for students who are out side these regions and interested to follow this course, the course fee will be Rs. 15,000 out of which a considerable Rs. 13,000 is still being sponsored by the DONER and DIT of the above regions. Therefore other regional students have only to make a contribution of Rs. 3,000 to follow the ITES course
