Medical electronics courses conducted by DOEACC

In health care and hospital services sector the use of medical electronics and equipment designed on electromechanical basis play a very important and necessary part with increasing demand for such products. These innovative products are put in to good use in the process of saving critical patients lives on a daily basis around the world. What is more, the standards and the quality of service dispensed by hospitals today is mainly judged on the basis of their up to date technological and electronically equipment and their efficiency as such key issues go a long way in upgraded practices of treating patients and ensure better results.

However, the invention, maintenance and up keeping of these special technological and electronically equipment has to be handled by experts of the field. Therefore hospitals have to recruit special technical officers to undertake such tasks. Recruitment of employees to cover this sector of work has been an essential part in the health care industry as they cannot ignore the trend towards better IT related working environments that create better than expected results for any industry concerned.

There are reported cases that though most hospitals of state are equipped with the latest and modern technological equipment the world has to offer, most of these equipment are left without being put in to use for the benefit of the patients as there are no proper skilled experts who could handle these units. To bridge the lack of such trained workers a proper educational systems would be initiated to train professionals in the filed of medical electronics. Such professionals will then provide their input in maintaining and working mechanisms of these electronic units and thereby will provide better results and in general upgrade the total standards of the nation’s health care industry.

Need for professionals in the medical electronics sector is further made in to significance by the fact that most remote healthcare centers and hospitals does not employ such experts for handling of their electronic equipment and in the case of a break down have to wait for longer periods to obtain the required services from more metro cities. Such incidents will invariably lead to very unpleased situations with regard to the patients in these hospitals and even could be a detriment for critical patients who are depended on these life saving machines. Therefore DOEACC society has identified the imperative need to equip the relevant employers with the professional knowledge and qualifications with the utilization of an up to date laboratory to carry out the necessary education process.

DOEACC center in Aizwal has initiated a course study program for the training and development of technicians in the filed of medical equipment repair and maintenance and such trainees will be deployed for work in hospitals in the country’s North Eastern region. This project is funded by the DONER. In addition the centers in Srinagarand Jammualso have undertaken to carry out courses and training programs in hospital equipment maintenance and repair projects.
