A detail out look of the Certificate course in computer concepts conducted by DOEACC society

  • Candidates who have received a sponsorship via any of the accredited institutes of the society can take on the CCC examination available under DOEACC scheme without the applicable educational qualifications otherwise required. Other students who are sponsored by any of the government school or a college who owns a special identity number from DOEACC are also eligible to take the CCC course without any reference to their individual educational qualifications. In addition other applicants could register directly at the society to follow the course with a minimum required qualification of having passed the subject mathematics at a high school examination or other equivalent examination.
  • Application requirements for the registration of this course is for students to send in the duly filled application form in the prescribed format which could be obtained at any of the DEOACC centers or at the head office along with two recently taken pass port size photographs of the candidate and relevant examination fee. For direct candidates, they will have to send along an attested copy of their minimum educational qualifications for eligibility of the course. Application forms are also available online and students can register by logging on the official web site of the society.
  • Cost of the examination form is Rs. 360/- inclusive of Rs. 20/- processing charges of the application form. The fees paid in respect of this course will not be refunded and cannot be transferred for any other course conducted by the society.
  • There will be only one theoretical examination paper for the candidates who follow this course at the end of the course period and the required minimum marks for a pass is 50% out of a total of 100%.
  • Examinations are conducted on line as well as at the affiliated centers of the society. Students will receive details of their examination centers in their examination applications.
  • Students who do not have an educational history in mathematics or science could still apply for this course as it is generally covering the basics of computer concepts which could be followed easily without complex mathematical and science knowledge. However, students should have a working knowledge of the English language in order to handle the course competently.
  • Students who have passed the CCC course will not be entitled to receive any exemptions or benefits if they decided to follow the other advanced level courses conducted by the society. Therefore, they have to register through the normal procedure for these courses.
  • The grades that are awarded for the students on completion of theory examination of the CCC are as follows: Students who receive a passing mark of between 50% -54% will be awarded Grade D, passing marks of between 55% - 64%  Grade C, passing marks of between 65% - 74% Grade B, passing marks of between 74% - 84% Grade A and a student receiving a passing mark of 85% or above will successfully receive Grade S while the students who receive less than 50% will be considered as fail.
