Is student registration a compulsory thing to follow their courses?
Student’s registration is compulsory and students will not be able to undertake any examination with out the necessary registration.
Is it possible for a student to register for more than one course at any given time?
The registration is issued for a student to undertake only one course at a given time as the courses are structured in a manner where a student has to complete one level successfully in order to proceed with other level.
What are the other documents a student has to provide for the registration to be complete in addition to the duly filled registration form?
A student should forward copies of educational qualification certificates as indicated in the eligibility criteria. Certificates attesting to their age, certificate of work experience attested by the employers, and the registration fee of Rs. 500 payable to DOEACC Society, New Delhi.
What are the time limits for student registration?
Students could apply for registration during any time of the year. However, there are time limits set for the applications for examinations and should apply for the January examinations before 30th of June and for July examinations before 31st of December for students undertaking the O level course. For students undertaking A, B & C level courses the cut off dates is for January examination before 31st of July and for June examinations before 31st of January. There is a one month extension on this time limit for students applying through any accredited institute.
What is the period allowed for registration between each level?
Registration for the courses in level O and A will be allowed for a period of ten successive examinations which amounts to a period of five years and the valid time limit for the levels A and B are twelve successive examinations which amounts to a period of six years.
What is the procedure if a student fails to accomplish passes for all subjects within the allowed period of registration?
The student will have to re-register for the next examination in this case. The application of the student’s registration will then be extended to another time limit of five to six years to enable the student to complete any leftover papers and project report. Fee for re-registration is Rs. 500/. If the student is applying for a fresh identity card he will have to make an extra payment of Rs. 100/.
Can a student change their name in the student database administered at the society?
This is possible and in case of changes, for female student’s surname, the student will have to send in an application detailing the changes. However, in case of changing a student’s name on own discretion, the student will have to send in an application requesting for the change along with a affidavit endorsed by a magistrate of first class or a Commissioner of Oaths.
How will a student find out about the status of their application?
The official web site of DOEACC will regularly publish a list of their fresh registrants generally from August and February of each year preceding the examinations respectively.
What are the alternative steps available for students who have been rejected for registration?
If the reject reason is a cause of error in filling the application form, the student will be awarded another opportunity to rectify the errors and re submit the application with relevant registration fee and during the stipulated time period for reconsideration by the Society. If the student’s registration is rejected and decision is final the registration fee will not be refunded to the candidate.
What is the procedure if there is change in the student’s mailing address?
The student should send in an application requesting fro a change of address in the prescribed format which could be obtained at the Society or downloaded through the official web site. However, for students who have applied for registration through any accredit institute will not be able to change their address at any time during the entire duration of the course.
What are the various fees a student has to incur during the time of a course?
In addition to the course fee a student is expected to pay the following fees to the society:
Registration -Rs. 500/- (applicable for all levels)
Examinations - Rs. 500/- per theoretical paper
- Rs. 300/- per practical paper
- Rs. 30/- postage charges for above
Project report- No fees applicable for the O level
- Rs. 500 for A level
- Rs. 3000/- for levels B & C
What are the accredited institutes of the DOEACC society?
The society has over a 1250 institutes collaborating with their programs and with the accredited status. These institutes are based in all regions of Indiaas well as in some overseas countries. The list of these institutes could be obtained at head office of the society or by visiting the official web site of the society. Therefore, students can easily find an accredited institute of the society within their geographical local vicinity.
Are the students being given any course material for any of the courses conducted by the Society?
There is no prescribed course material for any of the courses available. However, students who are following the O level course could obtain a comprehensive CD inclusive of study matters for a fee of Rs. 450/- and other students could request for the list of reference study books that are available at the society for student’s guidance.
If a student finds out that the institute through which he/she registered is no longer accredited to DOEACC scheme will he be able to complete any remaining examinations under the DOEACC scheme?
If a student has approached the society via an accredited institute then he/she under above circumstances could send in the next application for examinations directly to the society by quoting the same roll number and details of examinations already taken in the pertaining column provided in the examination form.
What is the procedure for a student to face a DOEACC examination?
The student registration is compulsory and once a student gets the application approved and confirmed by the society he/ she may take on any examination pertaining to the levels O, A,B, or C, within the respective eligibility category of the student.
